I am not wearing this do-rag to channel Eryka Badu. I have a much better reason than that! I got a Keratin straightening treatment on my hair. My hair is puffy, frizz, and only in certain climates do I get nice waves. So after contemplating this treatment for a year, I decided to take the plunge and man am I glad I did. You can find out more about it at Keratin Complex.
I got my hair therapy at Moss Salon by Laurie Lemay. It was initially encouraged to me by my own fabulous sylist, Alicia Carmody, who also works at Moss (but doesn't apply the treatment). You can read up about all the deets on the keratin website, but in a nutshell the total application process from beginning to end lasted about two hours. I couldn't get my hair wet, put it in a ponytail or behind my ears for three days (the third day felt like olive oil was poured through my strands). Absolutely worth the three day wait and every penny! It minimized my morning hair routine from 20 minutes to five! No straightening iron and no frizz to tame. I highly reccommend it, and if you live in RI or surrounding areas you should check out Moss Salon in Providence. I will post some final results pics tomorrow, but it pretty much looks the same as my old hair which I straightening ironed the heck out of.
Also, got the last pair of Brown Cynthia Rowley wedges at target. So cute and feel great. Will post pics of that as well tomorrow. XOXO
P.S. The badu-rag is really a scarf from J.Crew Sprin 2008. You can find more like it HERE!
