I Am A Super Woman - IAAS.com

Congratulations to Alexis Tirado, chosen to be the headblogger with Alicia Keys to launch the website I Am A Super Woman.
"IAAS.com will ignite super women with empowering content, delivering vibrant and optimistic news, opinion, and entertainment at a supersonice pace. IAAS.com will give powerhouses everywhere one source to connect with each other -- and the world." IAAS FB page
Check out Alicia Keys inspiring blog which is head-blogged by my girl, Alexis Tirado.  Alexis is obviously the epitome of a super woman...chosen to launch I Am A Super Women out of 8,500 applicants.  Alicia announced the head blogger in front of millions during a showcase on Goodmorning America!

"The singer told the crowd, "This right here is the lovely lady named Alexis Tirado who is now the head blogger of iamasuperwoman.com. Congratulations!" starpulse.com

Since I know Alexis personally (PC alums, holla), I believed since she started the job campaign, she was the ONE.  She has this special something that makes her stand out in a crowd.  Maybe its her witty sense of humor, or experiences working as an online editor for Martha Stewart Living and as a freelance writer for Timeout New York, The Village Voice, Latina, and Nerve.com (amongst others).  Possibly its her passion for her Puerto-Rican heritage or her assertiveness to be proud of the woman she is while still being able to laugh at herself.  Talented, dope, funky, friendly and the list goes on. A combination of all the above, and the belief in herself to go after what she wants.  Alexis T.  totally represents what it means to be a strong woman. You go girl!

So stay tuned for I Am A Super Women coming this Fall, and also keep your ear out for Alexis.  There will be certainly lots more to come from this Super Woman!

  1. OMG I love this! Thank you girl for the kind words. I'm so excited to launch a site for Super Women everywhere. A place that will inspire and empower us! And props to our Providence College education. It was there that an English professor named Peter Johnson told me that I could become a writer. The thought of getting paid to write was so exciting to me! His words changed my life.
